Bertha Street Outfall Extension

We’re proud to share the completion of the Bertha Street Outfall Extension, a project designed to help resolve long-standing flooding and ponding issues in the Bertha Street area, Ulverstone.

This unique project took place in one of the most stunning coastal settings, right near Picnic Point Beach, and it presented both challenges and rewards in equal measure.

What We Achieved:

• Extended the outfall by 60 metres
• Significantly increased stormwater drainage capacity
• Delivered infrastructure to help reduce flooding and upwelling during heavy rainfall events

By extending the outfall and improving water flow, we’ve helped ensure this beautiful beachside area remains safer and more resilient for the community.
