Over the past 40 years the Batchelor Group of companies has provided civil and construction services underpinning the infrastructure development for private, Local, and State Government plus associated entities within Tasmania. Including residential and commercial building construction.

The Batchelor Construction Group (BCG) consists of both civil and building construction.

• Building commercial and residential services, from medium-sized commercial developments such as warehouses and office style accommodation
• Civil provides a suite of earthmoving equipment to cater from the smallest of domestic support needs through to medium-sized mining demands.  The fleet includes excavators, dozers, articulated trucks, graders, rollers, water carts and support equipment including heavy haulage transporters.

With the above combination, the Group has and continues to provide a variety of civil, construction and building projects with project management capabilities. This expands over small domestic projects, such as bulk cut excavations for homes, driveways, and drainage, through to larger civil projects including water and sewage pipelines plus tailings dams for the mining and aquaculture industries.

The equipment fleet also provides the opportunity for plant hire encompassing both wet and dry hire flexibility to support the wider Industry.

The Group holds Certifications for Quality, WHS and Environmental Management Systems. All independently audited. Great pride has been taken in the internal systems it has developed and recognise these as underpinning opportunities for continuous improvement and the ongoing development of the Company.

BCG has the general ethos that where efficiencies or savings can be identified through alternative construction methods or through minor design changes, these are communicated to the client for consideration and approval.
