Batchelor Wins at 2025 Tasmania Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards!
- Purpose Built Project – Winner
- Specialised Housing – Highly Commended
The celebrated project delivered for Hydro Tasmania at Lake Pedder, Strathgordon, involved the construction of fourteen high-quality accommodation units and two service buildings, including all associated civil, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Batchelor delivered this logistically complex project as a construct-only contract, working closely with Francis Burne who provided the design.
Delivered to the highest standard, this project reflects Batchelor’s ability to combine technical excellence with Tasmanian ingenuity, producing exceptional results in even the most demanding conditions.
“This award recognises the dedication and resilience of our entire team. Working in such a remote and environmentally sensitive location brought unique challenges, from extreme weather to complex logistics, but our people delivered with professionalism and pride.
It’s an honour to be recognised not only for the Purpose Built Project but also to receive a Highly Commended in Specialised Housing.
These outcomes are a testament to the skill, collaboration, and commitment of everyone involved,” said Scott Batchelor.
Batchelor would also like to sincerely thank the subcontractors and suppliers whose expertise, reliability, and collaboration were instrumental to the project’s success. Their commitment and teamwork ensured this development was delivered safely, efficiently, and to the award-winning standard recognised by HIA – Tasmania.
