Tods Corner – Central Highlands

Concrete repairs to the flume walls for Hydro Tasmania—an important piece of infrastructure originally installed in the 1960s.

Our scope of works included the removal of any damaged concrete cutting approximately 300mm below the affected areas to ensure a solid base. This was achieved using ultra high-pressure water blasting, which allowed us to leave the steel reinforcement intact and ready for the new pour.

Timber formwork was installed, and fresh concrete was poured to restore the flume walls. In addition, sections of the flume floor were repaired with a new concrete overlay.
