Batchelor Construction Group (BCG) has been contracted by FORT Building Solutions for the Maguire & Co. Distillery project at Cambridge. So far, BCG has excavated and relocated over 20,000 cubic meters of material, forming a loop road, access roads, various hardstands, two kilometers of swale drains, and the foundations for eight bond stores.
Employing materials from Batchelor Quarries at Forcett, BCG has placed over 10,000 cubic meters to surface the roads and hardstands, as well as more than 2,000 tons of spalls for the swale drains.
The focus will now shift to the main distillery building and warehouse, with work on plumbing, electrical trenching, and drainage, including backfill around the structures.
