The Batchelor Construction Group was commissioned by Simplot Aust. to undertake the civil works for a new potato storage facility in the Northern Midlands.
The works were completed in two phases, with the bulk earthworks of approximately 150,000 tons of cut and fill, and 10,000 tons of quarry materials placed on the site with the main building, constructed by others.
The site itself is around twice as long as the MCG, and as wide at its widest point.
